Birthday: Sarah's 2

Happy Birthday to Sarah!
We did something very special for Sarah's birthday; we went to the Texas Teddy Bear Factory. It's a "remake" of the Build-a-bears that you may have seen in the malls. Very fun place to bring a girl that just loves bears!

We all went along for the ride but only Mom and Sarah went into the store. Here is Sarah in the car on the way to our special birthday event.

We walked into the store and Sarah's eyes let up and she said, "A bear, a bear, a noth bear..." as she pointed to all the bears. I steered her to the bins of unstuffed bears for her to choose one and she took one out and said, "a bear," then put it back and grabbed another one and did the same. She did that for all the bins in the first section.

Pink seemed to be the choice color. She had two pink ones for awhile.

Then I asked her to choose the one she would like to take home. She grabbed two pink ones and a purple one. :)

When she finally picked the ONE the she would take home, we listened to the sound chips to add in the bear. She danced to the ones that had songs and then choose the lullaby tune. Then we took the bear to get it stuffed. This was funny because she wasn't sure about giving the bear, that she just picked out and mommy said she could take home, to a stranger. And the machine that blows the cotton into the bear was loud. She stood back a bit.

She got the bear back for a hug test. If there wasn't enough cotton I'm sure that Sarah wouldn't give it back. :)

Time to pick out clothes. We spent some time there. Sarah saw a bow that she loved and shoes, but for some reason she went with the plain t-shirt and a skirt. Thrifty girl!

After our time at the Bear Factory we went to a chocolate store next door. I got all the kids chocolate suckers.

A good time with just Sarah. I truly enjoyed it! She is such a joy to be around (when she is not upset!) and she just sings and dances so much, you can't help but have a merry heart with her.

When we got home we had cake. Sarah didn't put her new bear down.

Present time! Hannah made Sarah a necklace. When she opened it she put it right on. And tapping her hands on the necklace she said, "my neck, my neck." Hannah has such a good time making things for other. She just smiled as she watched Sarah enjoy the necklace. I had made her a necklace for her bear.

Another birthday. We have a 2 month break until the next one. But Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way. I love the holiday season!
