crispINformation VOL 3:5 Sarah's born

Sarah Belle is here!
Tuesday morning, 9:57. She was 7lbs 10oz and 20in long.
I am so happy to have her in my arms and not in my belly!

I was induced (water broken) at 7:30am and started contractions right away. Another fast delivery, Praise God! There was a small scare during labor. Sarah's heart rate went below 90 and an oxygen mask was put on me to help her. I wasn't sure what was going on and almost freaked. Sarah was just fine. Her heart rate went right back up and never went down again.
Joshua was so good at keeping my breathing correct, keeping me calm and in control. He is such a great husband!

I was at 8cm and telling the nurse that I needed to push. She told me to hang on until the Dr. got there. They did not call her quick enough. There were 2 contractions that I should have been pushing on before the Dr came. So she walked in, stirrups went up and out came Sarah. No joke, that fast! I pushed twice! It was great. It is such a relief to have all that pressure gone. I was so excited to see her. And the second I saw her I knew that her name was Sarah. Joshua was right (he has been telling me that he knew Elizabeth was not the name for her).

We came home Wednesday around 5pm and things have been going pretty well. Hannah likes to watch Sarah eat and stroke her hair and rub her fingers. She thinks it is fun to point out her body parts. Hannah asked today if Sarah could play with her. And she shared her toys with her. It's so fun to watch. Caleb, I don't think cares. He looks at her. Pointed to her nose once and today helped me burp her. Other than that he is on to bigger and better things like playing with cars.

I am very tired, as can be expected. And Joshua is gone (Texas Moter Speedway). Today a lady from our church came over and helped feed the kids and cleaned my kitchen. Then brought us dinner later that night. A huge help! (Thank you so much Martha!!!)

All praise to God for another wonderful delivery!!!! I do not deserve all that God has blessed us with and yet by His grace we are truly blessed. I thank you all for your love and support.

Thank you,
Joshua, Jennifer, Hannah, Caleb and Sarah Crispin
A family of 5!!!

crispINformation VOL 3:4 Sarah preg.

Still Preg!

But I have some good news. Tomorrow at 7am my Dr. is going to induce me. SO, only one more night to go! This is the plan: Going in at 7am and Dr is going to break my water. I am 3 1/2 cm dilated as of today, and 80% effaced. (And for the past 2 days I've been contracting about every 30 minutes) If in 4 to 5 hours my body does not progressively continue labor then she will give small doses of Pitocin (a medication that stimulates contractions through an IV).
My Dr. believes that I will "go fast" when my water is broken. That is my prayer! I do not want Pitocin.

I asked my Dr. why my cervix is NOW deciding to hold so tight. B/c of having 3 cerclage, my cervix has a good amount of scar tissue and has toughened. So that is why it is having a hard time opening. At least I can put a why to why all this waiting.

Please keep baby Sarah in your prayers. A healthy baby, good delivery. And for God to calm my fears of the unknown with being induced. God is not the author of fear and I am clinging to that fact... Though I am human and can't quite let go of the fear. An evil tug of war game I play with myself. Joshua has been a great "cheerleader" for me. Encouraging me that "I can do it!"

This week is Texas Motor Speedway week and as most of you know that is another one of Joshua's audio gigs. This starts on Thursday (through Sunday). I am very thankful for having the baby early in the week so that Joshua is there with me, not worrying about the other gig. However, that does put me at home with a newborn, 2yr old, 1yr old, dog, and my best friend NEVER ENDING TIREDNESS. I am asking for help. (Now I do realize that those of you that are out of state most likely will not respond to this cry for help and I do understand! ) It is not easy for me to ask for help. This is a lesson that I have been learning since Hannah came to us. So far I know that my step-mom will be with me on Saturday. Michelle, my sister, may help on Friday, I think. When I don't know. If you would be available and would like to come over I would be greatly appreciative. Please give me a call. (I plan to stay at the hospital as long as insurance will let me. I am pretty sure that it's 48hrs. So I should be home Thursday morning or maybe Wed night.)

I thank you all for your love and support. My next email will be all about the arrival of our Beautiful Princes, Sarah Belle Crispin.

In God I Trust,
Joshua, Jennifer, Hannah, Caleb and Sarah

Truly I am blessed with children from God!

crispINformation VOL 3:3 Sarah preg

I am still pregnant!

I saw my doctor today and she said that I am 3cm dilated and 75% effaced. I am on my way! (For being in labor a week now, there better be something going on down there!!!) We also had a sonogram and were able to tell that the baby only weighs 6lbs 15oz right now. This calms my fears greatly to giving birth to a big baby!

We are still undecided about her name. Elizabeth Diane came up the other night. Who knows...

The other day I was looking online at natural ways to induce labor. There are some ways. Basically any laxative will do it. As I was looking at all this and seriously consedering doing something myself. I heard God telling me that it was in His timing not mine. Also I was reminded of this same thing with Caleb. So we're not doing anything to speed this baby along... ok, maybe a few jumping jacks here and there, but that's it!

Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow... soon this girl will be here.

Thank you all for your love and support,
Joshua, Jennifer, Hannah, Caleb, and baby girl
