Hannah Talks About Abrianna's Arrival

Watch the video and hear Hannah announce her sister's arrival.
I typed out Hannah's words below the video since she is sometimes hard to understand at 3 years old.

"Hello Everybody! This is Hannah Crispin, and I'll tell you about Abrianna. She is borned at the doctors office on Tuesday. Then, I went and saw her and I went to the doctor and I hold Abrianna , um, so tight. She's so tiny like this. My mommy is small now. She's small as her belly buttons. She can hold Sarah and Caleb and Hannah, and...Abrianna are nice. Abrianna doesn't have no teeth. Sarah has big teeth and were small, and Abrianna are small with Sarah. Sarah and Abrianna are not married. At The doctors she had medicine like me and mom and dad. And she didnt have a vitamin...she doesnt like vitamins...she has no teeth. That's Abrianna and Jean...with Abrianna..she comes to the doctor... Christie and Jonathan... Oh! I see Kyle! ... with Abrianna."

crispINformation VOL 5:3

Well Abrianna is about 2 weeks old. I have made it thus far! With Joshua being home this time things have been a little easier. (For the past babies he has worked at Texas Motor Speed Way)

I would not have made it if not for the meals that we have received from friends and family members. Thank You!

The kids all love Abrianna. Hannah likes to help me and hold her. Caleb likes to touch her cheek. Sarah likes to giver her hugs and rub her head. They have all taken to her very well.

Hannah is doing well with learning to use the potty! This has helped cut down on diaper cost!
Caleb has found a new movie that he just loves, 101 Dalmations. We have seen that one now every day. Joshua saw 101 Dalmations part 2 at the library and we are now watching that one too much. I'm not big on TV watching but it sure has been good the past week or so. I can get more sleep in the morning during their movie time.
Sarah is 'talking' a lot! I just wish we could understand her!

We have changed the settings on our blog for the comments. You can now comment very easily. Just click and type. Joshua has also added a link to the right side of the page that allows you to grab automatic updates via Itunes or other news feeders.

Our 1st 'outing' with our newest baby.

The kids needed to get out! Joshua suggested we have a picnic at the park and try out his rocket that I gave him for Christmas. So I packed sandwiches and we went to the park that is near our home. It was good to get out.

The kids love to swing. That is always the first thing they go for at the park. Hannah didn't want a big swing so Sarah got to swing with Dad.

Abrianna slept. She didn't even know she was out of the house.

This is Caleb and Hannah playing with the rocket.

Caleb wanted to be a rocket!

Nap time. Sarah was tired after all that play.

Hannah loves her big sister role

Hannah loves her new little sister! She likes to help me with all that I do with Abrianna.

She likes to hold Abrianna. She gets a pillow and asks to hold her after every nap.

Feeding Abrianna has become a favorite thing to do. I'm glad that she is a good bottle feeder.

Hannah helped me give Abrianna her first bath.

crispINformation VOL 5:2 Abrianna is here!

Abrianna Louise Crispin was born on Tuesday the 17th of January 2006.
7lbs 4oz and 20in long.

We went to the hospital early in the morning... 5am early! Joshua and I are not morning people! My mother stayed the night so that she could be with the kids in the morning. We got to the hospital at 5:30 and got started with all the paper work and questionnaire. That took a good 2 hours!

My Dr. came in and broke my water at 7:30 and Abrianna came into the world at 10:57am. Another fast a safe delivery. Praise God! (30mins longer than Sarah's)

Some of you may have known that I wanted to get a "local" this time around. (All my other delivery's have been all natural) Well that didn't happen. Though not by my wishes. :) Giving birth 4 years in a row is just not fun. It is painful and contrary to what others say, you can remember the pain. It's painful! I just wanted something to ease it... Apparently the local is given when you are completely dilated. I was at an 8 and that is when they called my Dr. down and she said that I was not ready yet. Well I said that that couldn't be because I was ready and I wanted the pain med. Because of the scar tissue that has built up on my cervix I was having a hard time. Dr. Flowers helped get my cervix to open and when I was at the 10 and asking about my pain med she was telling me to push. So I'd push and then say again that I wanted to have the pain med. And she would tell me to push. So you can guess how that went. I'm not sure why she didn't give it to me but I'm pretty sure that she knew I'd be ok without it. She was very shocked when I told her that I wanted it. It was painful, but I guess worth it. So once again I was without med and IV.

When Abrianna came out they asked me if I wanted her to be under the heat lamp or on my belly. I thought if that was the only option then I wanted her with me. Usually they wrap the baby up somehow and hand her to you. So I had my slimy white gooey baby on my belly. I liked having her close but she was messy! They looked her over and wiped her down on me. I had her on my for a good 10 mins or more. Then they took her to get weighed and wrapped her up and gave her back. I kept her with me for the first hour feeding and taking pictures and then they took her to get cleaned while I got cleaned. I got my belly washed! :)

In our room together. She looks like a Crispin baby! She has Hannah's olive skin and she has lots of hair! I finally have a baby girl with hair!

Joshua brought the kids to see us at about 7pm. Hannah was excited to see Abrianna and me. She got on the bed and I let her hold her. She was smiling so big and telling her that she loved her. My mom had helped Hannah make a picture for Abrianna that she gave to her. It was real cute.

Sarah got on the bed with us and gave Abrianna hugs. She tried to give kisses too. She was so sweet with her new sister.

We have 4 children! Caleb liked seeing Abrianna too. He patted her arm nicely.

crispINformation VOL 5:1 Girl preg.

It's been awhile!
I am still pregnant! And we still have a house full of kids! :)

We have a name for our little girl. Abrianna. This is hebrew and means "mother of many nations." We are still deciding on a middle name. I like this name not because I want for her to have many children but for her (as well as all our children) to continue the Christian Generation through out our family tree. I really like this name because of the Bible Study that I have doing in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). We have been taking the year to study Genesis and seeing how God moved in Abraham's life and the nation the He built through him has inspired her name.

As of last week I have been in labor. I was at 3cm on Tuesday of last week and that is when my cerclage came out, and today I am still at 3cm. I am 5o% effaced and just waiting for little Abrianna to get things going! Dr. Flowers said that if I do not have Abrianna by next Tuesday that I am scheduled for inducing at 6am. So by the 17th we will have a little girl! If you remember, this is how it was with Sarah. I was at a 3 for 2wks and then we induced. You'd think for not having a strong cervix that going into labor would not be a problem!

I don't think that Hannah can wait any longer. She keeps telling me how she wants to hold the baby very gently and help change her diaper. If only she could! I think she is excited to have a baby in the house. She helped me set up Abrianna's bed and changing area in our room. She put her cloths away and was very helpful. What a big girl she is becoming.

Speaking of diapers... Hannah is finally becoming a "big girl." Praise God for that answered prayer! I showed her a gift she could have if she was a big girl that used the potty and from that day on she has been in panties. (This was 4 days ago.) I'm so happy to be seeing the light (dim as it may be) at the end of the diaper tunnel! Of all the things I've tried, advise I've taken, and books I've read on potty training... it only took showing her something that she could have. Every child is different!

Caleb and Sarah are doing well. Sarah is starting to learn her body parts. She is saying a few things. Mostly "mama" (referring to everyone) and "I want down" (meaning both down and up!). Caleb is helping more and more and being very good with sharing, when he wants to. He is still my most challenging child. Discipline with him has been so hard. He has a hard head! Maybe from me! :) They are a joy to be with. We are truly blessed.

Something funny for you all to enjoy. Joshua got the kids dressed how they wanted to be dressed to play outside... You guessed it! Crazy outfits! Caleb is wearing his church shirt, Sarah's tights, and Hannah's shoes. Hannah is in her tights and shirt and Sarah is in her diaper and church shoes. Have a good laugh!

I'll let you know when Abrianna is here and you'll see pictures too! At least 6 more days, I'm almost done!

Happy New Year 2006

Party at our house again!

We had my Mom and her gang and David and Sheila Crispin over to ring in the new year.

We had lots of good snacks and sweets! Hannah, Caleb and I made cookies for the evening. Caleb put frosting on one and then ate 3 and said he was done.

We played 'Catch Phrase' most of the night. Playing as Girls against the Guys we defiantly ruled the night. It was lots of fun and we'd like to do a game night again soon with more of the family.

The kids went to bed well and that allowed for some good adult time. Something that I cherish when I get it!

Happy New Year to you all and I pray that God blesses you and your family.
